Our Latest Challenge
A new challenge was introduced by Joan Duvall. The name of the challenge is “Flower Fanta-sies”.
The rules are as follows:
It must have a floral theme.
Your quilt must be at least 30” wide but no more than 60” wide.
It must be at least 30” long.
Your quilt must have a 4” sleeve attached.
Because we are part of Niles and we use an apple in our logo, it must have a recognizable apple (one or more) somewhere on the front of the quilt.
Members are encouraged to design their own quilts. If a commercial pattern is used we will need to get permission to show it even if it has been altered.
The rules for this challenge were designed so that we can enter the Ultimate Guild Challenge in Grand Rapids. We will send pictures of those judged to be the best eight quilts to AQS and hope that they are chosen to be shown.

The Niles Piecemakers Quilt Guild is a non-profit group who gather together to share our love of quilting. We have a program each month, exploring a Quilt technique or artist, along with secret sisters, quilt challenges and monthly workshops. Our quilters make two raffle quilts a year, one to fund our club and the other benefiting Habitat for Humanity. We participate in numerous other charity projects, both locally and internationally.
The Piecemakers meet monthly eleven times a year. Our meetings are held on the 4th Monday of each month at the Niles Senior Center. The Senior Center is located at 1104 Bell Road, Niles, MI. Sit & Sew starts at 6:00 pm and the monthly meeting begins at 7:00 pm followed by our monthly programs.
